Jim Holley - Mastectomy Tattoos and Scar Cover ups
Jim Holley, aka "Big Jim" started his tattoo carren in 1996 in Hollywood, FL with mentor, Stony Evans. He moved to North Carolina and honed his skill under the watchful eye of Dale Bull. Jim is drawn to Neo Traditional, Floral, black and grey and enjoys developing each clients tattoo idea. Jim and Will have known each other and over fifteen years, and decided to open Brass Talon Tattoo Collectiveo Collective in 2017. After Jim's mother, Brenda K Holley, was diagnosed with breast cancer and underwent a double mastectomy, he and Will worked with her in designing a mastectomy tattoo. Sadley Brenda lost her battle to cancer before she was able to get tattooed. Because of his personal experience with breast cancer, Jim has a profound understanding of the power of these tattoos. He has seen it not only with mastectomy tattoos, but also veteran scars and self harm scars.
During his off time, Jim enjoys spending time with his kids, camping and riding the open road on his Harley.
